flora farms | mexican desert oasis

We heard a few whispers of this new restaurant that was in the middle of the desert just outside of San Jose del Cabo. We were told it was a full organic farm and if you can find a taxi that knows where it is--GO. Our main directions being "go into the desert and pass the concrete field and you'll see the gardens on the left". So, off we went...

and then the oasis appeared!

My beautiful friend and travel partner, Stephanie. We sat at one of the garden tables that was lit by candlelight and in the distance we could see Casablanca playing for their "Sat night movie in the garden". 

I forgot we were in Mexico. Can someone tell me where there is a restaurant/garden this charming here in the states? I mean, seriously. Gorgeous atmosphere, good, simple food done well and reasonably priced. It's called Flora Farms. Go read about it and if you ever find yourself near Cabo, Mexico you must go. 

ps. get the sausage and fennel pizza.
